About Us

The GlobalEd Institute serves constituencies and institutions both in Canada and internationally. It serves as a vehicle for non-formal equipping in global mission work, theological education, and leadership training. The Institute organizes and delivers practical training for individuals and learning communities. While the training is practical and flexible with variable delivery methods, it is also based on credible learning methods that lead to desirable outcomes and competencies.

The GlobalEd Institute functions according to the tradition of Institutes established in partnership with post-secondary institutions. It serves narrowly concentrated learning communities that are vocationally focused. It provides practical (non-formal) training that reaches a broader constituency and provides increased access through flexible programing. Credibility and support for the non-formal training provided and ensuring alignment with quality assurance and best practices is provided through association with a reputable institutional partner.

While the courses in these programs are not considered to be accredited as per formal academic programs and courses, they are structured with specific objectives and learning outcomes. These outcomes are assessed to assure quality training, and certificates provided for those who successfully meet the program requirements. All of this is done under the general oversight of Summit Pacific College.
